System Engineer – Linux
Job Location: Singapore
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Build and configure RHEL 10 VMs in both image and RPM modes.
- Conduct CIS hardening and compliance validation using InSpec profiles.
- Prepare Remediation and Upgrade Cookbooks (Ansible or equivalent).
- Test customer agents (EDR, monitoring, backup, etc.) for compatibility.
- Perform in-place upgrade dry runs and rollback validation.
- Convert VM images (.vmdk → .ISO) and validate deployability.
- Deliver documentation, build guides, and validation reports.
- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years RHEL engineering experience (8/9/10).
- Deep knowledge of CIS benchmarks and MAS compliance frameworks.
- Expertise in Ansible, Image Builder, Kickstart, and Packer.
- Hands-on experience with VMware tooling and image conversion.
- Familiar with Chef InSpec / OpenSCAP validation.
- Scripting in Bash or Python.
Preferred
:
- RHCE / RHCSA certified.
- Experience in financial or regulated environments.
