SQL Server Engineer
Location: India – Chennai
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Install and configure SQL Server 2022 (Standard and Enterprise) on Windows Server 2022.
- Configure cross-DC Failover Clusters and Always On Availability Groups.
- Perform migration of databases (~300 GB each) from SQL 2016 to SQL 2022.
- Harden OS and SQL instance configurations per CIS/MAS guidelines.
- Conduct VA scans and apply remediations.
- Execute and document two migration dress rehearsals prior to Go-Live.
- Validate failover, backup, and restore procedures.
- Support SAT/UAT and dual Go-Live events with DLP support.
- Deliver runbooks and knowledge transfer to CUSTOMER’S Ops team.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016 → 2022).
- Strong knowledge of Always on HA and Windows Failover Clustering.
- Expertise in database migration, backup/restore, log shipping.
- Familiar with CIS hardening and VA tools for SQL and Windows.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred
:
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator / Azure Database Engineer.
- Experience with banking or regulated production environments.
